Asking for a referral from a client is something many of us find difficult. Do you struggle asking for referrals from your clients?

Here are a couple of approaches to support your clients and request referrals easily and with integrity.

To get referrals on the spot after any conversation:

(Name) I’m expanding my business, and I need your help. Who do you know who may own a business, be a C suite executive, or another type of client you want to work with, who might appreciate some support now during this pandemic?

After completing a work or personal conversation:

(Name) thank you for being willing to chat with me today. It was great to catch up on ( x ) project and hear that you and your family are healthy.

Give one of these a try and let me know how it goes.

By the way, one of the things I’ve been thinking about is how I want people to think of me after this whole pandemic is behind us. What I came up with was that I would do whatever it takes to serve my clients, and other people, as much as possible right now.

I wanted you to know, and to hear it from me personally, that you can reach me by phone, email, or text with anything you need. I have tremendous connections. And I want to extend that offer to anyone you care about; friends, family or business connections, or anyone you know that might need support at this difficult time.

As you know, millions of people are out of work. Can you imagine being in that situation; dealing with this pandemic, potentially being quarantined, and then losing your job at the same time? It doesn’t matter if they have a lot of money, or a little money, people need a lot of support right now.

So, if you have anyone out there that you care about who needs someone to lean on for (financial, business, marketing…) advice just connect them with me. Maybe they just need someone to whom they can vent or someone to be the voice of reason or hope.

Whatever I can do to be available, I will do for anyone you think needs me. Just give them my phone number or email and tell them to feel free to reach out to me.

To Your Prosperity,

Rennie
