Many people think because I’m wealthy it was always this way…

It was not.

I frequently tell the story of how I was broke at age 50. There was a time in my life I had to collect soda bottles and cans to get the refund money to buy food.

I struggled with money issues most of my life. I thought if I just made more money I would finally earn more than my expenses. After earning more than $100,000 in 1992 I realized I was wrong.

This was a very painful way of living. The more I earned the deeper in debt I got until I learned the foundations of handling money effectively from a 12-step program.

None of my financial education provided any training in the basics of personal finance. Not my Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation and not my Certified Financial Planner® (CFP) designation.

Neither are the basic principles of personal budgeting taught to CPAs (Certified Public Accountants).

I finally found what I needed in a book on budgeting and in a 12-step program called Debtors Anonymous (DA).

These two things created the foundation. The book provided the information and DA provided the personal moral support. (There was more information in DA as well.)

As I say often, “Wealth creation is a team sport, not a solo sport.” The people in DA supported me to see how I really spent money and how I felt about it.

When I finally broke the cycle I was 50 years old and within 8 years became a multi-millionaire.

Now I can donate to the causes that touch my heart. From teaching these foundational tools, supporting other people to handle money powerfully and how to invest, I am able to donate 100% of my profits.

To find out how you too can become wealthy and donate to the causes that touch your heart, reply to this email or stay tuned to my announcement next month!

To Your Prosperity,
