This is article #5 in the series of the six areas of support (from the book Change Anything) that will allow you to change or transform any area of your life, from over-eating to creating wealth.

Today we will talk about what Structural Motivation means. In the previous articles we spoke about the first four areas on the list below, you can access those >>HERE<<

Here is a list of the six areas:

  1. Personal Motivation
  2. Personal Ability
  3. Social Motivation
  4. Social Ability
  5. Structural Motivation
  6. Structural Ability

As a reminder, what I will discuss is how to apply each one of the six areas only as it applies to creating financial abundance. You can choose any other area to work on, and it will be just as powerful. It’s like you rowing a boat only on one side versus having six people, with three on each side, all rowing in the same direction. Again, these areas of support have nothing to do with willpower.

When we discussed Social Ability, we addressed the whether or not the group has the skills and abilities to support you.

With Structural Motivation you will look to your environment and pay attention to what you see. Do you see posters like a kitten hanging on to a branch for dear life? Is that how you feel sometimes?

Instead, put up a poster showing a pristine white sandy beach in Bali; with palm trees in the background; you and a mate sitting on lounge chairs, and have this represent where you could live if you didn’t have to work for a living.

Do you see a desk that is a mess of papers that reflect what’s going on in your mind? Do you walk into your kitchen and see a sink filled with dirty dishes? Do you think a clean and orderly desk or kitchen will reduce feelings of stress or overwhelm?

Ask anyone who practices feng shui and they will tell you how your environment affects you from the inside out. The authors of Change Anything demonstrate how changing your environment will support you to change in the direction you want to go.

Are you willing to hire a person who does office organization? I do.

Where can you find the people who can support changing/improving your environment?

To Your Prosperity,

Rennie
