After reading the 80/20 Sales and Marketing book by Perry Marshall I realized this is information I should have had 20 years ago. The tag line of the book is “The Definitive Guide to Working Less and Making More” and it’s true.

There are two important themes in the book:
- 80/20 is a natural law and you can fight it, ignore it, or profit from it.
- When you create wealth from what you learn, you have an obligation to help the bottom 20% of the population.

It fits your best clients; it fits your biggest headaches; it fits your hiring; it fits how you utilize your time; it fits how you utilize your resources; on, and on, and on.
Perry explains how using the power curve you can send 100, 1000, or 100,000 emails and maybe have a 1% return. Or you can send 10 emails, have a 50% return, and make more profit than from a mailing that’s 10-1000 times larger.
