Someone recently suggested I post on Tik Tok, and that I should listen to Grant Cordone to get an idea of what I could do with my real estate portfolio. Here is a man who is worth $2.6 billion, based on what he says. So I wondered how many billionaires there are in the United States.

As of 2020, there were 614 billionaires in the U.S. That same year the population was 329.5 million. That means billionaires made up .000186% of the population.

On the other hand, if you want to know how many multimillionaires there are in the U.S. there are 8,046,080 of them. That means 6.25% of the population has a net worth of $2 million or more. These are rough numbers.

Both the income and the net worth of me and my wife place us in the top 5% in the country and in California.

Please consider that about twenty years ago I was in the bottom 5%, not the top 5%. If I can go from collecting soda bottles and cans to get the refund money for food to the top 5% of Americans by net worth and income, YOU CAN TOO.

I am not a billionaire. Grant Cordone says if you just take $300 million you can buy $1 billion of real estate. That sounds nice. Who do you know that has $300 million?

Let’s get real here: Most people will never, and I mean never, become a billionaire. However, many people can become millionaires or multi-millionaires.

And if you want to make a difference in the lives of others, it is easier when you have the money you can donate. If you don’t have the money, you can donate your time.
